--invisible is not what you want to use, if you want to run LO non-interactively for conversion purposes, you want "--headless --convert-to". For some time --convert-to already implies --headless, but perhaps the version you use doesn't have that. And yes, headless+convert-to is supposed to exit right after the conversion is done.

A macro in the document is actually an option. The com.sun.star.text.MailMerge service, together with the basic createUnoService() function probably allows you to automatically perform a mail merge from a macro. The sw/qa/extras/mailmerge/mailmerge.cxx testcase in the source code uses this method to automatically test mail merge.

You can use the command dispatch framework, then .uno:PageUp can jump pages up/down, exactly as if you would hit the page up / page down keys. Hopefully that does what you need.

(You can use the macro recorder to find out exact uno command names / parameters, then the generated basic code can be re-written in C++, since it uses the same UNO API.)

Also, if you see problems but you have limited time, a good compromise is to select one problem that you can reliably reproduce and report it, so QA can triage & prioritize is properly. If everyone does that, developers are aware of the most annoying problems and can keep them under control. :-)

2015-02-10 15:30:33 +0200 respondió a una pregunta Java sidebar extension and LibreOffice

It would be great if you could check your Java/UNO code with an older version of LibreOffice -- if it works there, then that's a regression and you should report it at https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/e... . Once there is an older version that's known to be good, it's much easier to track down such a problem.

Alternatively, you could check if your problems are sidebar-specific or not, e.g. modify one of the Java examples from http://api.libreoffice.org/examples/e... to do the same what you do inside the sidebar code and see if your code works then, without the sidebar.

2014-09-27 14:35:11 +0200 respondió a una pregunta Connect Libreoffice 4.2 with Google Drive

Here is how it works for me:

1) Use a TDF release binary, unless you're sure the the Ubuntu-shipped binaries enable the Google Drive feature as well. (--with-gdrive-client-id and --with-gdrive-client-secret configure switches.)

2) Make sure you use the internal file picker: Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> General -> check "Use LibreOffice dialogs".

3) File -> Open, then define your google drive: click the "servers..." button, then set type to CMIS, name can be e.g. gdrive, set Server Type to Google Drive, set your username, password, and that's it.

Two notes:

1) If you want to configure the same google drive account on multiple machines, then clicking through these steps is boring. You can edit registrymodifications.xcu in your profile -- all you need is to extend FilePickerPlacesUrls and FilePickerPlacesNames. The URL for gdrive is "vnd.libreoffice.cmis://$NICK%40gmail.com@https:%2F%2Fwww.googleapis.com%2Fdrive%2Fv2%23GoogleDrive/", (replace $NICK with your gmail login) the name is what you want, e.g. "gdrive".

2) gdrive integration works fine for me on master, however I get "general I/O error" when I use the TDF binaries, which is odd -- if gdrive support is disabled, then you should not be able to choose gdrive as a CMIS server type at all.

As for the second note, a bugreport (and CC'ing Cédric) would be welcome. :-)

If you have average needs, then possibly the .doc import/export is still more mature than the .docx one. Give it a try and see if using that helps. Other than that, if you have a document that's imported or exported with problems, then please file a bug with a reproducer document here: https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/...

2014-07-05 16:09:02 +0200 comentar respuesta Why are my list styles renamed as "WWNumN" when converting from ODT to DOCX?

It's not a bug, OOXML doesn't support named numberings, while ODF and LO does. So on saving, the names are discarded and when you load the file back, the WWNumN names are generated, as oweng says. So please don't report it as a bug, it would be just closed as not-a-bug anyway. Thanks! :-)

2013-08-17 14:04:21 +0200 respondió a una pregunta Which is the best .docx format?

There are only few differences, like the left/right paragraph margin is called left/right in one version, while the other version calls them start/end. In general, if you want to interact with Word, the "Microsoft Word 2007/2010 XML" version is the recommended one, when the OOXML standard and Word behavior conflicts, this filter will give you the Word version. The "Office Open XML" one will give you what the standard specifies: this is still understood by newer Word version, but not e.g. by Word 2007.

It is not an accident that "Microsoft Word 2007/2010 XML" is what gets selected, if you type ".docx" in the save as dialog and it sets the filter type for you automatically.
