Does Not possible to use mp3 in Impress presentation

Hi all, I am not sure where to find an Libre Impress forum and I need to know how do i put music onto an Impress PP presentation? using windows 7 Pro and the latest Libre Office version, I have searched but all the online info I can find seems to be 2012 and not relevant

The file a want to use is MP3 I have tried inserting the music file following the old 2012 info but Impress says “Not Supported” although Impress accepted an MP4 video but the vid sleeve picture covered the slide, and it did play the music but only on that single slide, if I click to move on it stops

If I start the slide show it runs ok, but if I click rehearse timings the presentation starts at the first slide and stops there, while the clock just runs on and on

Any help most appreciated, regards Robert

Hi all, still struggling with this, I have installed K-Light standard as suggested and when I click on insert Audio or Video and brows to my music folder and click on the MP3 music file it puts a square on the slide as before and still nothing happens, so a little more info on what I am doing wrong would be welcome, regards Robert

You should install some codecs in your Windows. Like as k-lite codec pack standard

Hi, thanks for your answer, Sorry I will need a bit of guidance as I have never heard of K-lite, where would I find it and how would I install it into windows, and is it safe to add something to windows, regards Robert
