Is there is a way to have 100% Fullscreen in Libre Office?

Please do let me know. I have asked it on Reddit thread ( [https://www.reddit.com/r/libreoffice/comments/auwvxa/is_there_us_a_way_to_have_complete_fullscreen_in/], nobody answered.

This is Ubuntu 18.10, with Libra Office Version: 6.1.4.2

There is a notch above, sideways etc all over the screen. So, If someone knows to hide it when its full-screen, let me know. (This is not even a proper definition of “Full-screen”

I have asked it on Reddit thread, nobody answered.

“It was 8:00 GMT; I asked and waited 25 minutes, and nobody answered” :wink:

Thats the speed Mike. Nobody has time :smiley:

ViewFull Screen (Shift+Ctrl+J).

@MikeKaganski, I said “100%”. And I know where “fullscreen” is. Above screenshot is what ur version of Fullscreen.

I can read, and so I feel strange reading “I said “100%””, as if the questioner wrote something that could guess that “I know where “fullscreen” is”, or that what is offered was attempted. Here is the screenshot of full screen using the suggested command on my Ubuntu; and that’s a version from PPA.

If you need more relevant answers, please provide more relevant info.

My Libra Office Version: 6.1.4.2 and whats urs? Is there a newer Stable version that i don’t know about? Does same application function differently in different system?

It’s 6.1.5.2 on Ubuntu 18.04 - the two differences that could matter… and of course, there might be more :slight_smile:

Version: 6.1.5.2
Build ID: 1:6.1.5~rc2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1~lo3
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

oh, i didn’t know there was an update. How can I update it? (Don’t tell me to install zip or something. ) (Tell me a way where it updates it automatically or when I type “apt update”.)

Didn’t I mention PPA?

Version: 6.1.5.2
Guess what, i also updated my LibreOffice by using: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
And when i did Fullscreen, i got the same result as i posted in the screenshot above. So, give me gun here…

Well - now we know one different thing (OS version), and don’t even know if out vcl plugins are the same (as gtk3 on my posted version info).

  • Version: 6.1.5.2
    Build ID: 1:6.1.5~rc2-0ubuntu0.18.10.1~lo3
    CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.18; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
    Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

I think this will clear ur doubts

Looks like it’s tdf#121679

so u r saying to sit there and wait for update ?

I am not saying anything like that; I just seem to have found a relevant bug. It might be useful to monitor it; it might be useful to read the last messages there, where OP seems to have found a workaround; it might be useful to add relevant info missing there, if you find out such info…

(and believe me, it’s not fun to wade through all that cool kidz slang like “u r”. If not to show your respect to those who try to help you, you could consider that not everyone here is native English speaker).
