I download Writer Guide 3.4 ODT. I want to move it to another folder. I open Windows Explorer and single left click on Guide’s entry. CPU usage goes to 50%. Close explore. CPU usage stays at 50%. Open explorer again. single left click on Guide entry. CPU goes to 100%. Close explore. CPU stays at 100%. Using Task Manager, end explore.exe task with high CPU. CPU goes to 2%. Using Windows 7 Home Premium with SP1 and all MS updates. Same thing happens with Getting Started Guide. Did not try any other guides. Does not happen with any other *.odt files I have and tried. What is going on here?
In LibreOffice 3.6 there was problem with high CPU use when selecting files in Windows Explorer. The larger file is, the longer all hangs. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53588 Problem was fixed in 3.6.2. Try to update to latest stable version 3.6.5 or new 4.0.0.
