Is LibreOffice financed by Microsoft, you expect people to move to Linux, but it can not do anything constructive?

Also it is almost imposible to submit a question, let alone get anywhere.

  1. If you stress on technical problems with this site during the recent weeks you are right. There were disturbing experiences.

  2. Concerning the overall value @ROSt53 is right.

  3. “… cannot do anything constructive …” is pure nonsense. I’m using LibreOffice and its predecessors for about 20 years now and I did a lot - constructive, creative, and sometimes critical. There were issues, too, of course.

  4. Who does expect anybody to move to Linux, here?

No, LibreOffice is not funded by Microsoft. It is developed by The Document Foundation, a non-profit organization.

To the first part @Nicd gave the answer already.

As for the second part about the possibility to submit a question and get an answer.
When you open:Ask LibreOffice and take only the top row of supporters, you will see that these 5 people have roughly 40 000 karma points. Take in average 10 points per answer, you will get 4000 awarded answers to questions. Next, consider that many answers, although they are correct, they do not get points awarded, then only the 5 people of the top row provided >4000 answer, Additionally there are many more people giving answers.
The AskLibO forum started in Feb 2012.

Now, you say you cannot submit a question and do not get an answer??? I am wondering…
