Will Libre Office take the place of Appleworks in El Capitan?

I have used Appleworks for years. I use the database feature to track donations and print mailing labels for an organization. I would like to upgrade my OS to El Capitan (I currently use Snow Leopard) and want to know if Libre Office will meet my needs. Thank you in advance for any help.

Tracking donations and printing mailing labels is well within LibreOffice’s abilities. LibreOffice works well with El Capitan so that should not be a problem.

Note that your workflow will likely be slightly different as LibreOffice and Appleworks are two separate programs from separate developers, but that should not be a major hurdle.
