I’ve finally started checking hash nums for downloads.
I’m using:
MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility 2.1

I’ve downloaded
LibreOffice_5.3.3_Win_x64.msi
I get the “File Information” here"

None of the hash nums match when I apply “MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility 2.1”.
Suggestions?
Apologies: I’ve not used this forum for a while. My “Answer” below is just a follow-up to my OP: problem still exists after testing with another software package.
Which of the mirrors was used for the download? (I hope that you can get this information form your browser’s or download app’s history.) And also which was the downloader? (include full version please.)
I’ve now installed “HashTab” v.6.0.0.28–apparently x64, since it installed to C:\ProgramFiles and not C:\ProgramFiles (x86).
“HashTab” returns the same MD5 and SHA-1 values as “MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility”:

I’m unclear, it looks like you’re comparing 2 different files. 056f7e18215b8a285215641b8408ef85 is the MD5 Hash for 233 Mb MSI Installation File, it looks like you may have been calculating and comparing it to the separate 5.1 Mb help-pack file?
Edward, apologies for such a late reply. I deleted all of those files (help included), so I could not evaluate the potential mistake I had “got myself into.” Thank you for such a clarifying observation. A few days ago I updated to 5.3.7.2 x64, and “risked” 
the install without checking the hash. I’m still not sure I’m using those utilities correctly…but thanks again for one “clue” I need to be more aware of, potentially.
