Text.ott not existing

Hi
When I open a writer page in the latest version of writer I get the message that Text.ott does not exist, once the message is deleted the blank writer page shows and is quite usable, any ideas why this message happens before producing a usable page and how to remove the message regards Robert

(1) could you specify please (by editing your question) what your “latest version” is, and also what platform/OS you’re using? (2) Have you previously used a text.ott template? (3) Have you tried launching LibreOffice with a clean “user profile”? If not, try that, and see if the problem persists.

I would suppose your user profile is inconsistent. Yo may once have defined a template Text.ott and set it to be the default template for new Writer documents. Later you deleted or renamed the template or lost it for some reason, but Writer is still looking for it. After your quitting the prompt Writer uses the built-in default tmplate.

I have Just found the thread again so sorry for the late reply things are ok now so I must have sorted it, many thanks for your reply and help, sorry for the late response as there are so many different Libo’s I always have problems finding my thread again, indeed I am still looking for my last one, regards Robert
