How to make exact copies of cells?

I need to copy some rows but not only the content - I need to copy the row heights and the cell widths too.

I need to copy 40 rows, and I need to copy them in the same sheet, just below the rows I copy. Most of the rows have 7 millimeters in height but some of them have 5 or 6 millimeters.
When I copy the rows, they are not preserving the row height, but only the content.
If I copy the rows on another sheet, then it won’t preserve the cell widths.

Is it possible to make exact copies of the cells?

Later edit: I am using LibreOffice 5.4.0.3, the 32 bit version on Windows 8.1 - 64 bit

You don’t say what computer, operating system, or version of LO you are using. On my Mac with version 6.0.6.2 of LO, copy and paste on the same sheet preserves everything, while copy and paste to a different sheet doesn’t preserve column width.

Try using the Edit > Paste Special command and tick the Formats box.

Thanks. It didn’t work in my version of LibreOffice but I noticed something: When I copy, I can preserve the row heights if I select rows instead of selecting cells.

I guess I thought it was obvious that you would be selecting rows instead of cells, since that’s what you were asking about.

Might want to think about upgrading to a more recent version of LO.
