Calc pdf export incorrectly formatted if manual page break inserted

L.O. 4.4.7.2 on both Manjaro Linux AND Win 8.1. Calc sheet with manual page (row) break, hard copy prints correctly but PDF (File–>Export as PDF) is scaled to a fraction of correct size (roughly 0.75 inches X 0.5 inches). Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? (As a workaround I removed page break, scaled to print on 2 pages, and played with margins until the page break was at the desired location, PDF exported file then was correct size).

edit: Tested on L.O. 4.3.3.2 (Debian stable), same problem whether converted as above or converted at command line.

Please verify if you have set up the option Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Print - Always apply manual breaks.

Yes, Options…Always apply manual breaks is toggled on (thank you for alerting me to that in response to a prior question). Within LibreOffice sheet prints hard copies as envisioned but the PDF Export shows/prints an image a small fraction of the size of the hard copies.

The issue seems to have been the scaling mode (Format/Page/Sheet). Setting to 1 page previewed correctly (5 pages, with breaks as envisioned) but PDF scaling was way off. Setting the scale to the number of pages envisioned (5) seemed to fix the issue. I incorrectly assumed the manual breaks would cause LibreOffice to ignore the scaling setting (especially as the print preview didn’t show any problem).
