Using LO Writer in MacOS, when I try to print directly, in portrait mode, the text orientation is sideways. That is the text runs bottom to top on the portrait page, not left to right as I would expect. Is a bug fix in the works?

I have the same problem. Did you find a temporary workaround until the problem gets fixed?
Workaround: Export as PDF, then print the PDF. For some reason, the PDF export orients correctly, as does the print from it.
Fixed in 5.4.5: I just installed LO 5.4.5, and in this version the print problem appears to be fixed.
