How to print pages double-sided or print separately even and odd pages

I want to print from libreoffice calc LibreOffice 5.1.6.2 10m0(Build:2) Ubuntu linux 4.4.0-98-generic kernel
I can print pages and a range of pages. I cant print separately even and odd pages nor print pages double-sided. The only workaround for me is to export as pdf and later print from pdf viewer.
I looked there for similiar question with no solution there Unable to print double sided.

UPDATE1 the print dialog window

What type of printer are you using?
LibO 5.1.6.2 is quite old now. Do you have a similar problem with 5.4 or 6.0?
On my Linux Mint system with 5.4 and 6.0, my Brother laser duplex printer allows me to specify simplex or duplex printing. My single sided inkjet HP printer just gives single sided as the option. Hence I would need to print odd numbers first then even for duplex output.

On my system I have the options on PRINTER SETTINGS > PROPERTIES > PRINT ONLY SELECTED SHEETS and also PRINTER SETTINGS > PROPERTIES to select DUPLEX, if the printer has this option.

Also PRINT > GENERAL > PROPERTIES will also bring up the DUPLEX option in addition to PRINT > GENERAL giving the option to select which pages to print.

i use libreoffice from ubuntu 16.04 xenial main repo.

This functionality is coming to Calc (even/odd). It has not yet been merged to master, though.

If you don’t have too many pages (else it gets cumbersome) you can specify the page numbers to print in the print dialog’s Pages field, like 1,3,5 and 2,4,6

I set the margins in my Calc Spreadsheet to

  • L=.75
  • R=.3
  • T=.3
  • B=.3

and then ran preview and these margins must reverse for duplex printing, but they are not.

Tell me now how to actually get this right!

Cheers!

And Language and Paper Size

Page Style Mirrored will give the option of Inner and Outer Margins, rather than left and right.
