why is libreoffice installed with default dictionaries?

I’ve installed LibreOffice 6.2.5 Portable (Multi language) and I’ve realized that a lot of unnecessary dictionary extensions are installed by default without option for users to select only the desired ones. I guess this feature makes LibreOffice start slower. I tried to reinstall it selecting to remove additional languages, as shown in the installer program initial window. However, even so a lot of undesired dictionary extensions are installed, while the localized layout (Portuguese BR) got incomplete, with pop-up settings windows in English (default language)…
Is there any way to wipe out those unnecessary extensions? Or, at least, may we expect for this improved feature at next LibreOffice releases?

Which OS do you use?

Ebot, it’s Windows, as the portable version is not available for other operating systems.

Maybe this post can help you. .

Have a look at “installation customized” and “dictionaries”.

You need to tick Remove extra languages during the installation (it’s, as I remember, on the second step of the process). This will leave only English and another language selected by you at the start of the installation.
