How do I access frame data source fields when red arrow shows?

I have Ubuntu 14.04 x64 and LibreOffice 4.2.8.2. I cannot access fields that do not show in a frame where I have specified merge fields from a data source. The frames are fixed in size, and they repeat to fill up the page. I am using them as labels to populate a listing of people with their contact information. Because the source names (from a spreadsheet) are so long, they will not all show. I cannot use the arrow keys to move into the source data names that do not show in the frame. Perhaps I can be a little clearer about this with how I reached this point.

  1. Ran an SQL query on MySQL data base;
  2. exported the query result to a spreadsheet;
  3. defined my Writer template as a page of labels;
  4. defined my spreadsheet as a data source;
  5. used the data source field names by dragging the column names into my first label frame;
  6. used synchronize to populate the rest of the label frames.

Now I need to change some of the data source fields, but the frames have a red arrow head indicating there is data beyond what I can see. If I use the right arrow key, I can move through what is showing in the label frame. However, the cursor disappears as it moves through the data fields I cannot see, and the data in the frame does not scroll. How do I get to those fields I cannot see? Thanks.

I have found a way to do this (actually a couple of ways).

  1. Reduce font size to get all field names in the frame.
  2. Use the View>Field Names option. If this doesn’t make all fields viewable, also do (1) above.

So, I’ll mark this solved.
