Changing colours of shapes in Base

Hi all

I’m working in base to create a small invoicing system, but when I try box in an item using shapes, I’m left with a blue outline after removing the fill. Is there any way to change the colour of shapes? There’s the option to change the fill, but not the outline.

If you are refering to this problem in Writer then you can do two of the things.

1. Right click on the shape and click on Line. In the window that appears, select -none- for line style.
2. In the Line and Area menu which appears when you click on the shape you can select none for line style

@nipa has pointed to the correct place (Base same as Writer) which also contains the line color for the shape. Also changeable on the Drawing Object Properties toolbar when the shape is selected. However, if possible do not use shapes on forms. With a finished form, the shape is selectable. In newer LO versions you cannot do anything with the selected item but in some older versions the shape can be moved by the user thus defeating the purpose.

If you are looking to just place a black square or rectangle around an item(s) you can use a Group Box control without a label.
