pages keep slipping

Is there a way to fix pages so they do not slip?

Sections do not prevent this.

I have my document fine. Every chapter start is on the right-hand side.

I wake up and am almost guaranteed to find mysterious blank pages are added overnight.

I use page styles. I make sure I tell what page style should follow what.

It always happens at the chapter start.

Sometimes there is a blank page before - also made as a page style, and sometimes not.

I have one chapter that does this every time I close and open the document. (Ironically, it is called “Find Yourself.” I keep losing it.

LO 5 on a Chromebook. 6x9 format. Using mirrored but happens even if pages are “only right.”

I also find paragraphs sometimes “slip.”

Well - it seems like you are talking about normal operation. If you made your chapter headings to start new pages, and also that the pages’ style is “only right”, then - wherever it happens that previous chapter ends on a right page, then the next chapter needs to skip one left page, and start on the following right - which is done by inserting one automatically added blank page in between… on print preview, iirc, these pages are even marked “Automatic blank” or somesuch.

Or is the problem different, and maybe I misunderstood you?

Yes …but I used “mirror.” However I did make the first chapter page right and still have the problem. I get automatically inserted blank pages despite creating a blank page style and it happens even if the left page is not blank.

Please provide a sample file to check the problem.

Mike I just wanted to say I’m not ignoring you about the sample files it’s just that there’s been so much going on here that I haven’t had time to sit down and create a sample file for several of the questions… the only thing is that I’ll have to wait until it happens in order to make the file to show what happens here because I corrected it.
