Deleting your LibreOffice profile is the last thing you should do when troubleshooting... unfortunately it is still the quickest way to work around some bugs. Make a backup first, in case you discover later you'd need to go back to it or need any personal data to migrate it (templates, bibliography database, etc.).

According to the LibreOffice documentation the default location for the user profile is:

For Mac users:

/Users/<user name>/Library/Application Support/libreoffice/3/user

Important: These folders are hidden, you need to enable the option from your operative system to see hidden folders in order to see them.

And

For Windows users:

Before Vista: \Documents and Setting\<user name>\Application Data\libreoffice\3\user
From Vista: \Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\libreoffice\3\user

On a normal windows install, these folders are on C:\ drive.

NOTE: depending on the installed windows version, "Application Data" folder name could be localized.

For GNU/Linux users:

/home/<user name>/.config/libreoffice/3/user (since LibreOffice 3.5.0)
/home/<user name>/.libreoffice/3/user (prior to LibreOffice 3.5.0)

NOTE: This is for the "official" LibreOffice packages distributed by The Document Foundation, if you use the version provided by your Linux distribution this path could be slightly different.

That being said: There is also a --norestore commandline switch to ignore the autorecovery data (the info about to-be-restored documents, but not the data itself) is stored in registrymodifications.xcu in the profile along with other configuration changes.

Using that switch will not remove the info, so when you don't use it the next time the autorecovery dialog will show up again, but nevertheless it might help to get out of the loop.

Also: Of course the developers would be very interested in the user-profile & data if it triggers an auto-recovery loop...
