Libre Office requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task

Have been trying to customise my Bash prompt in Ubuntu 16.04.1 and I get the request as above. How do I find out what JRE to use, and how do I install it.?

Emmm… customizing bash prompt has nothing to do with LibreOffice or its use of JRE. You must have done something wrong, or found a mysterious bug…

Hello @Jacko,

for the default version ( 1.8.0_131 ), you could install “OpenJDK Java 8 Runtime” from the Ubuntu Software Center.
