document is locked for read only, how do i change it so i can edit it?ent

I have a document saved - it is locked as read only. I wish to edit the document and then save it again,
how is this possible please?

First “save as” the Document in another place-name. Then you can make changes. Then do anything needed. Copy over the original, make read only, etc. etc.
