Reference to cell via several files

Hello,

I´m currently trying to solve a quite tricky problem

I´ve got some MS Office Excel 2007 files on my computer, whereat I made some links via several files´ cells. (File1 → File2 → File3 …).

Now I tried to open these files using libreoffice calc, but it seems, that there are some issues in handling this feature! The evaluated cell looks like ‘#REF!’.

Is there any workaround for this problem available?

Thank you very much,
kind
Stefan

Hi @Berti, once more the crystal ball is broken :). Please can you report you OS and your LibreOffice version. Also at least report sample of a broken formula. Maybe, so, someone can began to help.

Hi @Berti (aka Stefan),

Oooh – interesting problem! You mention that the evaluated cell says #REF, but what does the unevaluated cell show? i.e. – what formula/link is present in that cell?

Maybe Excel and LO are trying to do something different with the path… relative vs. absolute links or something?

At this point, I suggest you file a bug against this problem. First, please install the latest release and test out your files. We’ve made a lot of improvements in the software, and you might just get lucky!

If the new build doesn’t seem to fix the problem, please file a bug and provide a list of steps that can reproduce it. If you can attach some example files (please strip out any personal/private information), the QA will have an easier time identifying the source of the issue.

Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format “fdo#123456”.

Thanks!
