Can you please tell me what OS you use and what is the full version number you're using (for example 5.3.3)?

Hi lazza58, please download the latest version of LibreOffice which is 5.3.4 and let me know if this is still happening.

Me too. When this happens I have to restart my machine and then it opens but it always brings up a small window with the following message: "LibreOffice will attempt to recover the state of the files you were working on before it crashed. Click "start" to begin the process or "discard" to cancel the recovery." Then I click start and it tells me recovery failed and I click finish, and then it opens the doc. Pain in the proverbial. Be great if someone could help with this. I want to like this product but it's not really usable at the mo.
