Counting Paragraphs in LibreOffice on Mint

Is there any way to count the number of paragraphs in a document? I have LibreOffice 3.6.2.2 running on Mint 14

You can insert a field into the document with the number of paragraphs.

Menue:Insert->Fields->other under document tab you will find Paragraphs, select them and click insert.

Under FILES > PROPERTIES > STATISTICS you will find the current number of paragraphs, words, characters, pages, lines etc. However, you cannot insert them directly into the document as shown in the answer above.
