My suggestion is to install an extension called Export as images: This one automatically saves all the pages in a desired format (jpg, png, ....) while using built in export you have to do it one page at a time.

Best of luck

Hello @RonR,

The menu "Save" and "Save As..." only save your document in one of the native LibreOffice formats. In order to export your document to other formats, you need to choose the menu "File : Export...". There you can select JPEG in the format listbox.
