Base report giving several extra pages

A Base Report is printing extra pages, but not always. The report contains 8 pages of tabular data, but Report is giving 14 pages, most of the time, but not always. Sometimes it works with no changes other than closing the Report and then running it again. I’m using the “Page x of y” and have actually seen it change from 14 to 8 during the opening of the report. Is there a setting that I need to make that, in its absence, is causing this problem? Any help appreciated.

@JoeCastor Hello - Please post a COPY of your .odb BUT with only the report & query being used. Delete the rest. Don’t think anything else has changed in two days. Have the rest. Then can examine. Otherwise just shooting in the dark.

Find attached the Query, Report and the 2 tables used by the Query. Thank you again.

@JoeCastor - I believe you forgot something - the attachment.

Sorry, I thought it attached??

@JoeCastor Edited question to remove sample. That’s why I just asked for query & report - don’t want other stuff posted.

Reported as Bug 100477.

Got what should be a temp fix for you. I can stop the blank pages by adding a group footer. Most of my samples already have one which is probably why I hadn’t noticed. You don’t need anything in it. Just a blank group footer at minimum size.

Another cure I found was a blank page header & then no group footer works OK. However in your case that is not acceptable.

Once again, thank you. That works. I see the number switch from 14 to 8 as the report opens, but it seems to always correct itself.
Regarding your earlier comment, I guess I don’t know how to just send the Query and Report other than what I did.

Glad to help. As far as sending, just what you did except delete the tables (or the data within) also. If you had tables with fictional data that would be OK also. But don’t like seeing personal data (yours or for anyone else) posted.
