Why are you dragging your feet on this SIX YEAR OLD BUG?

What office suite can't even print an envelope properly!

I can even print envelopes with the abandoned Word Pro running under Wine Staging. But NOT Libre Office!

Please stop dragging your feet! This reminds me of Open Office where they refused to fix anything. When LO started up, I reported them all to LO and they were ALL fix in weeks. I dumped OO like a hot potato. LO has adopted OO's attitude.

Try this:

  • Create a document that is the size of the envelope you use.

  • Type your return address in the upper left corner.

  • Type a typical "to" address using left justified indented text (or centered text).

  • Position that address vertically where you want it.

  • Now replace the very first letter of the "to" address with an "x" and delete the rest of the address.

  • Save this document as "my return address".

In the future, just open "my return address" and type the new "to" address where the "x" starts. You can even set up a return address with a logo, clip art, Christmas icon, etc.

In addition, I setup 5 envelopes with fixed "to" addresses for a friend that sends letters to business associates often. No need to retype any of those address. Just open the desired "envelope" document and print it.

Better than any built-in envelope feature, I think. Raptor88
