Why will not print on 5.5 X 8.5 paper?

Would like a document to fit in small binder. (Paper 5.5 x 8.5" with holes.) I use duplex, mirrored, print last page first.

Both Libre Office 4.0.0 and Open Office 3.4 and 3.4.1 look good.
Canon MG5220 printer properties. All is well UNTIL it goes back to WP to be printed and the page size is changed to 8.5 X 11". Preview and actual print show it is not correct.

Thanks for you help.

Rob.

Hi, The “WP” = word processor. Sorry! I exported to PDF. (A new thing for me.) It looks correct on monitor, but when set printer PROPERTIES to duplex it is ignored and the mirrored margins do not work either. The margins are not corrrect, but I think/hope they can be changed to work.

Hi @traintie,

  • When you say “WP”, do mean Word Perfect?
  • What happens if you export your document as a PDF before you send it out for printing? Does that preserve the right page dimensions?

@traintie – how are things working out for you?

I gave up . . . but I am trying again. So I posed question again. I even tried Open Office 3.4.1 which I think I used in January 2011 when I wrote settings for the Canon MG5220 printer.
