mathtype installation [closed]

I have Mathtype 6.1 installed in Excel. How do I get it installed in Libreoffice Spreadsheet?

First, saying you have "Mathtype [sic] 6.1 installed in Excel" is a little off, because MathType doesn't "install" into Excel -- not in the same way it "installs" into Word & PPT. It's true that you can copy & paste from MathType into Excel, but there's no tab, menu, toolbar, or icon, and you can't use it for calculation. (Actually I'm not really sure what version of MathType you're using; we didn't release a version 6.1.)

That said, how to use it in LibreOffice Calc? Same way as in Excel -- if you're using Windows. If you're on the Mac, you must first save the equation as an image in MathType, then insert the image into Calc. Not a pretty process.
