Odd Impress Display Problem

I have a bunch of Impress slides I use for teaching. However, I have run into a very odd problem. I check that my slides, including transitions all work correctly on one of my office machines. It is a brand new clean install of i Mint 18.1 KDE, with the latest LO on it. However, when I move to the classroom, I have to use a Windows machine, although I am not quite sure what the version is. I was sure to install the latest version of LO onto it also. Presentations open up just fine, on any side. However, problems arise with transitions. When I try to move to the next slide the text is replaced by colored large pixels. Subsequent slides are all like that too. If I display a passage of text at the beginning of a slide and then try and reveal another passage of text (I often use this to reveal answers to questions), the whole visible part of the slide becomes corrupted with the pixel effect. Has anyone seen anything like this? Also, does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem? If I cannot figure it out, this could be one very long semester! Many thanks in advance.
