Problem with Calc Charts updating upon data entry.

Have a few charts in Calc. Until recently all worked fine. Enter new data, chart updated immediately.

That stopped a couple of days ago. Now when I enter new data, the charts do not update to show the new data points. I have to close Calc, then reopen for the new points to display. I can’t find a way to revert to the original behavior.

The only thing I did recently was move a few pages from one notebook to another and vice versa. A little housekeeping.

Suggestions?

With 6.06 or 6.10 my work is at a standstill due to this. With Ubuntu, without Open GL, with double the values of Expert common/cache - calc runs, soffice 1GB RAM. The x,y scatter plots don’t update. Clicking on the graphic to move it - one update is accepted. One move one update. By changing the graphic frame size then plots will update repeatedly until next LO load. Resizing one hundred graphics every day is exhausting. I’ve reset user profiles, reconstructed the diagrams. . .exhausted

Bugs #86321 #136160 #136254 have been created specifically for this topic. Still reproducible up to and including Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: f08ddf3d3df0ef12fef36e96ffe6f5b9a7fda9e3
(according to the new Director of Marketing and Development of LibreOffice) . . . .in his own office.

Readers busy building spreadsheets (like me): some laborious workarounds that may (sometimes) help (while waiting for a debugged version) -

Click on the chart and dragging it a few pixels will cause it to update.
Zoom out (then in) the whole sheet view (using mousewheel if you have one) may work. Copy the chart, paste the twin on the same sheet. The twin often autoupdates(!), the original can be deleted.

So, what happens when there are no responses?

Hello @Inquisitor,

please upload a sample doc that displays the problem.

Does it also happen if you first Insert a new row?

Hello librebel

A sample; my smallest file (Cancer Research) 11 MB (last edited with 6.10).
It’s a stripped down .ods from one huge created with 6.06. Last sheet is independent from all others.

The signal processing is basic. The work is to witness changes on x,y plots on the last four sheets. This PC is with two 40 inch DispPort UltraHD 4K monitors. Should show the problem with any other.
Any use?
