Windows X86 - what is that?

Why does the LibreOffice download service force the user to select among "Windows x86" or "Windows x86_64" for the operating system instead of the commonly known names "Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10"?

I know what x86 refers to but many users, those less tech savvy, hardly know.

Please consider making the selection of the operating system understandable for the majority of the users.

Thank you for the great application!

x86 and x86_64 is orthogonal to Windows 7, 8 and 10. The latter are versions, while the former are bitness. If user does not know its OS bitness, then the default choice will definitely work for them (if browser reports 64-bit, then by default, x86_64 would be selected by default; otherwise, x86).
