Creating BORDERS Problem

I have just one difficulty with the Borders in that I don't see how to create a bold line box type of border to go around around a section of items in a Spreadsheet.

I'm OK with the thin lines for individual cells, but the surrounding box always appears as the same thin lines. Also, I can't get the Double Underlines for a row of cells.

Can someone please tell me what to do?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

In the following image from a Calc spreadsheet, the "abcd" cells each have thin inner borders, and the four cells are surrounded by a thicker border. Also, the "efg" cells have double underlining. The image was taken by using "Zoom In" from the lower right corner of the Calc window.

spreadsheet example

To set this up, select the "abcd" cells and go to Format -> Cells -> Borders tab. First, under Presets, click "Set outer border and All Inner Lines." This should create the thin line.

Now, click "Set Outer Border Without Changing Inner Lines." Then increase the width to 2.50 pt for example. Press OK.

For the double underlines, I simply went to Format -> Text -> Underline: Double. It shows up when Calc is zoomed in, as explained above.

Operating system? LibreOffice version?

Have a look to: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/D...

Double underlining: Export sheet as PDF format and enlarge view in PDF reader (Adobe; Foxit; Evince...) to 1600 or 2400 % - the double underlining is shown. It's kind of graphics and rendering... If your printout shows only one thick line so try a width of 2 pt or more. This also maybe a problem of rendering and output resolution... presumably no bug.

Cheers
