Problem with cropping writer page

I’ve scanned several Writer pages that I wish to crop extraneous stuff around the edges on. I’ve tried without success to:

  1. Use a snipping tool to do a rectangular snip/crop. Result is a miniature image (about 2" by 1.5"). I need a full page.

  2. I try to crop a full image but “Format > Image > Crop” has the “Crop” function grayed out/ (non -functional).

Is there another way or a correction to these two?

Hello @Randy Butterfield,

After you scanned a Writer page, it becomes an image file.

Just open that image file in LibreOffice Draw, then right-click inside the image and select "Crop".

Drag the red handles to crop the image, then click somewhere outside of the image to accept the cropping, then save your file.

Hello HTH. I tried what you said but the right-clicked Draw image does not present a “crop” option (13 others). Sorry for my stupidity but anything you can provide would be much appreciated.
