Slow version Calc 5.4.2.2

Hi,

Not much info so far and really do not know how to gather logs (or something) to share, in order to show that Calc is slow and laggy.

Thing is I’m working with a 3MB native .ods file (not that big) with 5 sheets (10K rows each and some vlookups among them + a PivotTable) and ever time I want to save any changes, the window of Calc goes grey, unresponsive, takes 1 or 2 minutes, and only then I can work again.

  • Already configured memory parameters of LibreOffice.

  • Also removed the ./config/libreoffice folder.

Any hint on what to do? My PC es i7+16G of RAM, so I do not think is a hardware problem.

Thanks!

Lucas

Not sufficient info. Without looking at the file, it’s difficult to say; and you didn’t say if that was also for previous versions.

There were some issues (e.g. tdf#108703) that were fixed; some might still be out there. Could you please check the 5.4.3.1 available at dev-builds ?

Hi! Yeah, I know it’s not sufficient info … if only you could guide me on how to obtain some logs, I’ll be glad to do it. Is there any place where to gather some logs when things go weird?

On previous versions, I really do not recall having faced this issue. I had 5.1 which is the stable version that comes with ubuntu 16.04 and upgraded to 5.4.2.2 just to give it a try.

Let me try 5.4.3.1: I’ll do it as soon as possible to let you know …
