I am new, just installed Libre. I get when trying to save a calc or writer file error message like above. Or error 'write protected' you can open a copy and open for editing and then save in a new file name. Consequently I get a new file for every editing. Please explain how to overcome this mess.

I am using Linux, so I really can't help with MS Windows. I would look into how file ownership is assigned in MS Windows, who "owns" the file, and whether the file "owner" is the same as the "user". Also check for who has read/write permissions for the file.
