Where is the GoTo Special Equivalent in LibreOffice Calc?

Hi,

I’m new to LibreOffice and I’m trying to select all the blank cells in a column. In Excel this is accomplished by highlighting the column, hitting F5, choosing “GoTo Special” and then marking “blanks.” I am having difficulty locating this in navigator. I’m sure it’s quite simple and I am just overlooking it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hi

AFAIK it is not possible with navigator.

What follows works in my environment (windows & Version: 5.4.2.2) but did not work in previous versions (I do not know from which version it was introduced).

  • Click the column header
  • Ctrl+H (or EditFind & Replace)
  • Find: ^$
  • Other options: tick Current selection only & Regular expressions
  • Find All

Note: The selection stops at the last filled cell, which seems normal (given the number of lines: 1048576)

HTH - Regards

You could try SpecialCells by Villeroy (here is possibly latest version) - don’t know if it works with recent LO though.
