This addition is commonly used with Excel, but I don’t know if it is usable with Calc

This question should be actually addressed to WSP authors. Generally, Excel extensions aren’t compatible with LO.
(Offtopic: there is CoolProp, which is known to work with LO - I myself used to create spreadsheets with water and humid air properties using it.)
