Every about 10 - 15 minutes something, don’t know what, causes the whole graphical user interface to freeze, only the cursor can move,but that’s all. I am sure it must be something that has to do with LibreOffice causing this, as no other application I am using has so far caused this behavior. I had this too with the previous LibreOffice 5.3.6 installation on the same system. I cannot see any other things happening but me working on the Writer.
I have, of course, searched the Internet for a solution to this problem, but although there is a lot to be found on LibreOffice freezing, nowhere I could find something about it causing a whole GUI freeze.
As I am not at all an expert in these matters I see no alternative but asking the question here.
Some additional information (no idea if this is useful, so I give all of the things I can find):
I am using KDE Neon wich runs on the base of Ubuntu 16.04.3 (64 bit)
KDE Plasma version is 5.11.2
KDE Frameworks version: 5.39.0
Qt version: 5.9.1.
Kernel version: 4.10.0-38-generic
LibreOffice 5.4.2.2.
