will the orientation problem for the mac be fixed in future updates?

As other Mac users have mentioned there is a problem now of printing documents. Everything gets printed in landscape mode. Some workarounds have been suggested but the process is very annoying. Is this something that would be fixed in future updates? Should I wait for a fix or should I move over to Microsoft.?

How should I know? Few developers will have a Mac at hand to do research. Reports are not very clear. I would still prefer the trick with the slightly changed paper size and a compensating change of the margin setting for your templates. This allowing an easy way back when bug fixed. .
Much better would be, of course, the usage of internationally standardized paper sizes for which the problem never was reported.

Just adding the same problem since I upgraded MAC to 10.13. And it only does it with “letter” size paper. And not all forms are affected. So far the only easy fix (other than all the work arounds) is to use Open Office. Bah!

Even the United Kingdom shifted to international paper sizes already in 1959.
From wikipedia: “By 1977, A4 was the standard letter format in 88 of 148 countries. Today the standard has been adopted by all countries in the world except the United States and Canada.” Bah?
For what reason do you think is it so difficult to fix that bug? Do you think there is one qualified developer having a Mac with USA default settings and using ‘Letter’ paper?
Stubbornness has its price.
