One of the sheets of a spreadsheet with several sheets is greyed out (it has a grey background and cells do not show) when I open it with LibreOffice but not when I open it with EXCEL. What causes this? How do I remove the grey background?

Note that no background is selected for any of the sheets and if I go into formating for that sheet it seems to be formatted in exactly the same way as all the other sheets.

Also, the greyed out sheet does not print?

Update: Oops; my answer applies to LibreOffice Writer, even though the question was for LibreOffice Calc. However, the grey bug exists in Writer too, and here's how to fix it in Writer:

It's a bug/glitch. I am observing it in LibreOffice Writer on Linux Ubuntu 16.04.

To fix:

  1. View --> uncheck "Field Shadings (Ctrl + F8)"
  2. View --> re-check "Field Shadings (Ctrl + F8)"

Done! It should be back to white now.
