Compatibility with Excel-table related

Hello!

I´m having a problem using libre office due to an unformatted table. The problem usually does not occur when it´s me who´s sending the file, as I save it in a readable format for microsoft windows office. This mainly happens when the entity whom I suppose to receive files from sends me an excel document that´s basically a table that I have to complete with some information. For instance, when it has a chart at the bottom, it loses configuration and the letters stand all over the place, or when it has text in multiple slots at the top, it appears overlayed. When I try to modify the words it says that the document is protected (which i believe is not the problem because it´s an official document and suposeddly this text should not change). I know my work colleagues do not have that problem ( it all appears “normal”), but yet they use microsoft excel. i would like to know if the problem stands with the person who´s sending the files only saving for microsoft excel or if there is some extension I should install to upgrade my compatibility with excel. This is seriously affecting my performance with this program, even though i still think it´s an uplifting iniciative.
Thank you!

Problems of such sort happen, as there can be no 100% compatibility with foreign formats. Still, each such problem is worth reporting on bug tracker, and also you should remember that there’s no “one fix for all” solution, so each little problem deserves own report.

I will report it then, thank you very much!

Also don’t forget to attach a sample document or detailed steps to reproduce, or else the report would be ~useless.

thank you!
