Each time a use a new data origin from a Calc file, Writer create a new .ODB file in my documents folder. Does anyone know how to avoid this behavior?
Hi @Andres1, What version of LibreOffice are you using, and on what OS? We can try to replicate the creation of the .ODB file.
It does not do that for me, when I mail merge according to this tutorial:

I believe you cannot avoid the ODB file, because it is the only way LibreOffice has to contains a data source (independently if the source is a local spreadsheet or a corporate database connection.
