was down loading your new 5.4 ?? now all of my files are deleted and now can’t even open up your libreoffice form…please help,i need my files back asap…rlmullins
Downloading a file should not delete any files. I assume that you tried to install the program, something happened (presumably an error during installation), and now you don’t see familiar icons next to your document names in file manager, which makes you panic.
So - if I’m correct in my assumptions - don’t worry: the files are in place, they aren’t deleted. Just the old version of program that was associated with the files’ extensions was removed, and the new isn’t installed yet, so currently no association exists on your system. Just reboot and install the program again. This should fix the issue for you.
