Why can't I add a column to a table in Impress?

In an Impress presentation, I have a table.
I try to add a column.
I right-click inside the table and select “Column”.
Instead of seeing the “Insert” option,
I see “<no selections possible>”.

This happens whether I select the entire column, only a single cell, or nothing at all.

How can I fix it?

Please try the button "Insert Column Left" or "Insert Column Right" on the Toolbar "Table".

Select the menu “View : Toolbars : Table”

( in Draw and Impress )
