Two slides with the same page number

I know that by using the Latex, it is possible to create two separate slides that have the same page number, while in counting the total number of pages they are counted as one slide. In other words, Latex is able to generate two separate pages in the final PDF document that belong to one slide. This feature is helpful when I am going to present the changes in a figure step by step. For example, if my figure has three parts such as “A B C”, and at each step I want to present only one part, I can use three figures that in each figure one letter is in a specific color. All the three figures belong to one slide, but they appear one after another in different pages of the final PDF document.

I know that by using the animation, it is possible to make a figure appear after another one. However, when I convert the presentation into a PDF document, the result is not satisfactory.

Is there a way to have two separate slides with the same page number, while in counting the total number of slides, they are considered as one slide?
