text.ott does not exist

Hi
When I open (Up dated) Libre writer I get a warning that the txt.ott does not exist? and when I click off the warning the blank writer page is produced, also now more and more I get warnings that Libre has crashed or needs to retrieve a document can anybody enlighten me what is going wrong, and how I can stop the warning message or is it my PC which is at fault?

You should edit question title and add more suitable tags to it to attract experienced users. You should also provide information about previous LO version, current LO version, detailed info about upgrading process, where templates were stored before, does txt.ott still exists at that same place. What ToolsOptionsPath say where LO is looking for templates, did you renamed txt.ott and forgot about it? It’s hard to answer such broad questions as it can be virtually anything. Hope somebody help you

Have you checked to see whether it might involve a corrupt user profile? That would be my first thing to check. But yes, also need version numbers and operating system info to be able to offer more help.

Just found and had another look at the thread many thanks for the reply, things are ok now so I must have sorted it, sorry for the late response as there are so many different Libo’s I always have problems finding my thread again, regards Robert
