I have used now for 30 years(....) eq fields in word. They provide a very clean way of writing complex equations. with activated fields one enters something like {/EQ /f(a,b)} When fields are not displayed this write a fraction a over b. Does anyone now of a way to import this in Libre Office.?

LibreOffice has an equation and formula editor - documentation here in PDF format - which may help do what you want.

thanks for the reply but... I can see that libre office has some equation editor. No interest. I am looking for a solution to import my existing word equations ( many thousands) into a Libre office document.
