Hello people! I’ve just finished my Masters thesis, and yesterday I delivered my first version to my university. The trouble is that it needed to be without pages numbers, because I noticed that if I put that, either in footnote or header, the height of the page would be slightly reduced, and then my thesis, which is already long (417 pages) would be increased in more 80 pages! Maybe because in many pages I had calculated exactly the design of the contents… to fit the text and images, etc…
Do you know if this situation is expected? Is there any way to solve this situation? Maybe something I’m doing incorrectly? I was told (I don’t know if it’s true) that in Microsoft Office you can insert pages number and this change in the height of the the page don’t happen…
I followed instructions I read before, clicking either in the mark of footnote or header down or above any page, and inserted the “#page” command there, and then the information appeared in all the pages of the file.
Thanks for the help! Because of the deadline, I’ve already gave in my first official version of my Masters thesis to the university, but I’m talking to the professors so I could informally give them other corrected version with the page numbers… I hope I can!
