This is something I hoped would have been solved with the new LibreOffice 6, but is hasn’t.
Especially when doing things in rapid succession or, even, inputting two things more or less at the same time (like accidentally hitting two keys on the keyboard almost simultaneously) the GUI freezes. Not only the GUI of LibreOffice, but of the whole desktop (KDE Neon). The system will be still operational, cursor can be moved, music keeps playing but apart from that the system is not responding anymore to any inputs. After a while the system reboots itself. Of course this invariably means time and some work have been lost. It happened in LibreOffice 4 and 5, all versions I used, on different Ubuntus or Ubuntu-based distros, and now it happens in LibreOffice 6 - a real disappointment.
What can I do to prevent this from happening apart, of course, from preventing myself making mistakes like typing very rapidly?
