When I insert a table in Writer the right end is open. It looks like a box with 3 sides.
I have tried resizing it but it did not fix it.
I would really appreciate any help.
I suspect that you might be seeing a graphical glitch. Try changing the zoom factor, changing to print preview, or exporting to PDF. Or perhaps best of all, you could open the Table Properties dialog and check the borders tab.
Thank you very much. The zoom or exporting to PDF didn’t help. When I go into Table Properties and change the Line Arrangement settings it fixes the table I am working on but when I insert another one I still have the same problem. It has the right end open. I can make these changes each time I insert a table but it would be nice to fix the problem completely.
Did you try the following:
Open the stylist.
Look for the table style used for yor table (most likely: Default Style).
Check the Borders settings of that style.
(I don’t use tables much, but with some recent version I exerienced the (a similar) issue you reported. This is no longer reproducible for me. What is your exact version? Mine is 6.0.2.1 - not doubtlessly recommendable, however.)
The style family for texttables was introduced recently. There may have been a bug. Did you check this bug site? See also: Style your tables - LibreOffice Design Team
I am using 6.0.2.1. The table style is DEFAULT. I will read the article you sent. Thank you very much.
