how do i stop libreoffice from locking up if left alone for a minute

If I’m writing something and get a phone call or stop writing for a few minutes to get a snack, Libreoffice locks up. I have to force Quit and open
all the documents to get to the one I want to continue working on.

Also, I’m on a MacBooAir and if if close it for any reason and any short amount of time, it does the same thing.

Possibly this - Recent Mac-specific fixes in LibreOffice - Collabora Office and Collabora Online - tells about fixing this issue?
